missing symbolic link

Hi all
I am trying to compile a kshowmail with fedora (it is a biff-like program
for KDE). I get the following compilation error :
g++: /usr/lib/libmimelib.so: No such file or directory
KDENetwork is installed, and provides the following libs :
/usr/lib/libmimelib.la
/usr/lib/libmimelib.so.1
/usr/lib/libmimelib.so.1.0.1
Is there a symbolic link missing in the kdenetwork package ?
I don't know much about C/C++ linking (well, about C/C++ in general...).
Where could this come from ?
Thanks
Aurelien
