You should be grateful, because it takes a LONG time to rebuild.
--disable-debug is an option in configure, so I don't think that it is
an extra debug option. I noticed that just before it builds the rpms,
it runs:
/usr/lib/rpm/redhat/brp-compress
/usr/lib/rpm/redhat/brp-strip /usr/bin/strip
/usr/lib/rpm/redhat/brp-strip-static-archive /usr/bin/strip
/usr/lib/rpm/redhat/brp-strip-comment-note /usr/bin/strip \
/usr/bin/objdump
I cannot find out where this is run, and apparently it is not working
because the libraries are not stripped.
