The license of XFS is GPL, so what licensing issue are you talking
about?

I doubt this has anything to do with, since SCO has no more of a case
against SGI regarding XFS than it does against IBM regarding JFS. And
JFS is included in the fedora kernel. And if it were a concern, I doubt
Red Hat would be including the source of XFS in the kernel at all.
But, sadly, I don't have an answer as to the real reason why. Just
guesses about what it's not. :-(
