Setting a WINS server for GNOME?

I have set up an openvpn link from home to my network at the office. 
However, I am having problems seeing the smb network there.  I have set
the "wins server" and the "workgroup" in /etc/samba/smb.conf.  What else
do I need to do to browse the remote network?
