There's really no comparison between Looking Glass and 3DDesktop.  3DD
is just eye-candy: a pretty way of switching between various virtual
desktops.  Looking Glass is a  virtual 3D window manager, desktop
environment & a bunch of 3D-aware/enhanced tools.
