Very weird, but that's the observation:

Since my system functions normally except for using 1-older kernel, I'm
under no pressure to do anything about this.  However, I assume if another
kernel is released, the same thing will happen, so I might as well keep
trying to figure this out.  For some reason, yum and or up2date thought
there was no grub installed and thus couldn't put the new kernel choice into
grub.  I have Webmin, and it has a grub install option - I've considered
trying that, but it makes me a little nervous...
