FC1 and Laptops?

I'm running FC1 on an ThinkPad 600e and works great except the OpenGL sucks 
and i cant get the IR port to work   =\

I had to manually add the correct lines of code in the whatever.modules (I 
cant think of the name right now)  to get the sound working but it works 
perfect now.  =]

modem:  dont need it never even bothered to see if it was detected because it 
found my PCMCIA Etho and wireless cards  =D    (it made me very happy)
