The postscript to the original query asked how to do this in Windows.
Can't help there, but booting up from the installation CD in rescue mode
and doing "chroot /mnt/sysimage" before the above SHOULD work. Haven't
actually tested it, and there are potential problems with the
kernel/initrd versions on the boot disk vs those installed, as well as
getting cdrecord to work in rescue mode. Please report if you succeed.
