printing problems

Hi everybody,

I am having some printing problem. I can print normal openoffice
documents, but i can't print any pdf at all. Neither using kpdf nor
gimp: they send out just garbage spread through a lot of white pages.

The printer is shared by a old nt server, it's a samba printer. 

I guess it's a known issue, but couldn't find hints. Can somebody help
me?
