Hi;
 I bought all my hardware from newegg.com.
I also bought my blank DVD's from them.
This is my first DVD burner so I have no experience with media.
You can read reviews on the site.

Ritek DVD-R 4.7G 4X 50PACK, Model DRD-47-4X-RDSM, OEM 
Item# N82E16817132315

The price was $39.99 (a couple of months ago).
They work fine.
