Arrow keys don't work

James W. Gaynor was having trouble with his keyboard's arrow keys.

I asked:
> So what happens if you go into a terminal, enter vi, and type

which wasn't very clear: sorry.

Can you go into gnome-terminal (or konsole), enter gvim, and in that
gvim sessions, type Ctrl-V then up-arrow?
