XIO: fatal IO error 104 during install

[Amadeus Zappeling]

I boot from CD
 
When the install process starts I get the following message after "X server started successfully"
 
XIO: fatal IO error 104 (connection reset by peer) on X server ":1.0" after 0 requests (0 known processed) with 0 events remaining
install exited abnormally
 
The it shuts down and says it's OK to reboot....
 
Video card: Ati expert 98 8mb
What can I do???
