Trying out schedulers

    Getting absolutely no response to my last question, I'll put it
another way:

    How does one chose a scheduler, and did they ever add the patches to
just echo something to a /proc file and change on the fly?

    The only one I know about now is elevator=deadline, but that not
only got me nowhere, I think it's the IO scheduler, not cpu.

    Has anyone found a good (and up to date!) howto on this just yet?

    Google has a LOT, but none of it's helpful so far...
