Fedora Core 3 can't detect a DVD.

I have (system upgraded from FC1 so no selinux):
/dev/hdc /media/cdrecorder auto pamconsole,exec,noauto,managed 0 0

I'm currently running 2.6.9-1.667 as I haven't rebooted since the kernel 
updates came out.
