Random filecopy errors DVD -> Harddisk ?? HELP!!!!

And connect the dvd-rom as primary master, followed by the harddisk as primary slave. The dvd burner would be connected as secondary master?
Something like that?

Both IDE channels (primary and secondary) connect through ATA100 cables?

Your problem MAY stem from too many controllers, where one conflicts
with the other. I'd use the 2 on the mainboard and that's it.

Modern drives aren't as subject to buffer underruns as they used to be.

Try it. What have you got to loose.
