This is a user choice and mine is to avoid ATRPMS totally due to my
experiences.

I agree.  I spent two hours last night trying to get the k3b-mp3 working
and it turned out the problem was a busted library in an ATRPMS binary I
had installed.  This is not the first time those lbraries have bit me in
the butt.
