Shouldn't be an issue. The 2.6.9 FC2 updates got their revisions set back
to 1.1 for exactly this reason.  If his FC2 was up to date, it'd
be going from 2.6.9-1.6_FC2  to 2.6.9-1.667 which should be just fine
(unless the _FC2 is confusing the installer).
