CD burning as user on FC3

I have not been able to burn a CD on FC3 as a user. I have even tried
giving "chmod 7777 /usr/bin/cdrecord". This did not work either. Do you
any of you know what is wrong? Have any of you been able to burn any
CD's.

The only difference between FC3 and my setup is that i am using the
2.6.8.1 kernel.
