Thanks for the pointer, but i just went to:

and I didn't find Fedora Core 3 listed.

I also read:

and there is no mention of Fedora Core 3.  There was also no mention of
Fedora Core 3 on:

http://www.go-mono.com/packagers/

I just scanned the developer mailing list via news.gmane.org, and while
I saw lots of information about Fedora Core 2, I saw no information
about Fedora Core 3.

There is a thread on the general mailing list that discusses these

had a blog for an unofficial RPM for Fedora Core 3.  However this
apparently broke something with Dag's repositories.

I found this buried in the general mailing list after I accessed it from
news.gmane.org.

You will also need gtksourceview-sharp and gecko-sharp which you have to
build and patch from source if you want MonoDoc (and possibly
MonoDevelop).

Read the complete absence of posts on forums.novell.com.  I'm now
downloading the mailing lists from news.gmane.org to see if there is
more complete information.

After scanning the general and development lists for Mono, there seems
to be the same issue brought up with Fedora Core 3.  The solution
offered by one core member was to pressure your distribution to package
up the environment.

Mono 1.0.4 had VB support as a pre-release feature and not a supported
aspect of the released software.  I have not found the corresponding
page for 1.0.5.

I'm not knocking Mono in any way.  I do think that the information
available and its organization place significant barriers in getting
started with Mono.  I an interested in Mono as a learning tool for C#,
and I'm not enjoying these extra barriers.
