HELP with (process:3823): Gdk-WARNING **:

(process:3823): Gdk-WARNING **: can not set locale modifiers

..i always have these lines and some errors on compiling/reconfiguring at Fedora Core 3.. im new to to fedora after using Red Hat 9 for 2-3 years.. i had never encountered this problem before.. are there ways to eliminate these kinds of errors? what packages are needed? i only installed 50% of the packages...(light installation only).. so it is incomplete...because my installers got messed up by my old cd drive..it sort of chewed my discs.. tsk

should i just ignore those statements? or should i really install all packages? what are the needed/recommended/important packages for compiling applications?
