Konqueror and store passwords

FWIW:
In my experience (both with Fedora and RH9) when I check the "save 
password" box when connecting to various ftp sites, my passwords are 
stored only until I log out, then I have to enter them again.  I don't 
know of a way to "permanently" save them, and I'm not sure it would be a 
good idea...
