Thats's strange, I am running Fedora and I have a mozilla-psm package
installed.
I had the same problem as the poster, using Mozilla 1.4
Are you sure it isnt because of broswer version instead of OS?
On my other system with Mozilla 1.6 I dont have mozilla-psm and I never had
the same error.

That was with Red Hat Linux <= 9, but as of Fedora Core, there
is no mozilla-psm package anymore.
The user with the PSM problem should give some details, not
limited to the output of "rpm -qa 'mozilla*'", but also about
how to reproduce the symptoms.
