post installation problems

Hey, I've been using apt and synaptic since redhat 8 (not to say
conectiva and debian), and it always worked better than up2date. In
fact, when up2date didn't redraw the screen for several minutes that got
me pissed off with it.

I've seen so many problems with up2date on this list I've never tried it
on fedora, last time was with RH9 and was as annoying as RH8 regarding
this kinda meditative behaviour of it.

Try http://apt.freshrpms.net , put livna, freshrpms and dag on your
/etc/apt/sources.conf (synaptic, apt's graphical front-end allows you to
do it in a fairly simple way) and be happy.
