Hi all,

yesterday i updated my system and got kernel 2.44.22-1.2135.nptl.

This morning, first time i test this kernel, all smb connections are lost.

I get strange messages in /var/log/messages:

Jan 7 09:16:23 brunettie kernel: smbfs: Unrecognized mount option noexec
Jan 7 09:16:24 brunettie mount.smbfs[2264]: [2004/01/07
	09:16:24, 0] client/smbmount.c:send_fs_socket(405)
Jan 7 09:16:24 brunettie mount.smbfs[2264]: mount.smbfs: entering
daemon mode for service \\mac_serv\PC_CWI, pid=2264

Jan 7 09:16:28 brunettie mount: SMB connection failed
Jan 7 09:16:28 brunettie mount: 2669: session setup failed: ERRSRV - 2242
Jan 7 09:16:28 brunettie mount: SMB connection failed
Jan 7 09:16:28 brunettie netfs: Mounting SMB filesystems: failed

However, before updating kernel everything was working very well:

Dec 22 09:22:10 brunettie kernel: smbfs: Unrecognized mount option noexec
Dec 22 09:22:10 brunettie mount.smbfs[2659]: [2003/12/22 09:22:10, 0] client/smb
	mount.c:send_fs_socket(405)
Dec 22 09:22:11 brunettie mount.smbfs[2659]: mount.smbfs: entering
daemon mode for service \\mac_serv\PC_CWI, pid=2659
Dec 22 09:22:11 brunettie kernel: smbfs: Unrecognized mount option nosuid
Dec 22 09:22:11 brunettie mount.smbfs[2664]: [2003/12/22 09:22:11, 0] client/smb
	mount.c:send_fs_socket(405)
Dec 22 09:22:11 brunettie mount.smbfs[2664]: mount.smbfs: entering daemon mode
 for service \\idg01nt\utenti, pid=2664
Dec 22 09:22:11 brunettie kernel: smbfs: Unrecognized mount option noexec
Dec 22 09:22:11 brunettie netfs: Mounting SMB filesystems: succeeded

Any idea?

E.
