Before I Upgrade Kernel: nVidia Driver issue?

What I do:
1) Install new Kernel (+ source) with yum.
2) Re-compile the nvidia driver with the new kernel (checkout the nvidia 
homepage for new drivers. the installation program is quite good)..
3) Reboot.

Voila. This works for me.
