Subject: bugs in ifconfig??
# /sbin/ifconfig --help
Usage:
ifconfig [-a] [-i] [-v] [-s] <interface> [[<AF>] <address>]
[snipped] ^^^^
# /sbin/ifconfig -i
ifconfig: option `-i' not recognised.
ifconfig: `--help' gives usage information.
1. Is this a bug or is something wrong with my /dev/brain?????
2. "recognised"? not a native English speaker, but I think it's
"recognized".
Christoph
---> 1. while the ifconfig --help shows this option, I don't see it in the
man page.
2. "recognised" is proper for native English speakers. OTOH,
"recognized" is proper for native American speakers.
