Rolling updates back into fedora.

I always do network installs (usually via ftp) and it's come time where
there are enough updates that I want to roll them into my fedora
distro.  Other than jumping into my fedora root and running 'yum-arch .'
after copying the updates into Fedora/RPMS what do I need to do?
