Python version / where is idle questions ???

Keeping in mind that FC more or less RH x.x you might try:
http://www.python.org/2.3/rpms.html

The danger is if some of the functions used by FC/RD our no longer
supported in 2.3.x.

Unlikey since I beleive RH/FC calls python2.3 instead of python.
