Error Unmounting CD Drive

I am a linux newbie and have a CDRW/DVD combo drive and when I try to
unmount a CD after using an RPM or other file from it (excluding copying
a file to hard drive) says “error: cannot unmount. Drive in use” even
though there is no other processes running or anything using the drive,
how can I stop this so that I can unmount it. Is there anyway to force
an unmount? Thanks!
