Installation of modem Sagem 800 with RPM's driver

I have found the driver and connected instructions on 
http://personal.telefonica.terra.es/web/adslusb/indices/releases.html

The rpm are for kernel 1_2.4.22_1.2115;

as a newbie, if I update kernel to newest releases, what shall I do for 
installation of driver?? (i.e., if I install with 1.2115, and it works, 
shall I have to make any operation when I update the kernel??)
Any help will be appreciated.
