You might want to check out MailScanner (http://www.mailscanner.info)  This is 
a spam checker and allows you to add virus scanning to all inbound and 
outbound mail.  It also helps if your being hit with DoS mail-bombs.  I use 
it in conjunction with F-Prot and Clamav virus scanners.  You can have more 
than one virus scanner checking your mail  (just in case.)
