apt-get, yum or up2date

I've tried wildcards in Yum and it doesn't *appear* to be supported...

And you can't do that with yum why??

Yum, apt and up2date have some features that are diferent. What you
describe
above is not one of them.

For that matter you can most likely do that with up2date although I am
not
sure since I do not use it.
