When i try to compile a monolithic kernel on IBM x305 the kernel boots perfectly, but there are some script error trying to load modules although it was a monolithic kernel.
So i pass 'nomodules nofirewire nousb' to the kernel option on the grub.conf
looks like this:
/vmlinuz nomodules nofirewire nousb root=/dev/md1
and try to reboot, but the boot process just stops after
Uncompressing linux kernel......
without the 'nomodules ...', it wont even boot with vga=790 option.
with other machine I try, theres no problem.
So i thought this was IBM xSeries issue. any one have the same problem, and know how to solve this?
cheers, julius.
