Internet connection

Subject: Internet connection

I have an adsl connection. When i let my connection inactive for few
hours, i can't access internet. I tried to switch it off and on after
using system-control-network in the system gnome menu. But it does
nothing. The only solution is to reboot. Anyone know why and how i can
solve it ?
