write permission to a vfat usb harddsik

I have put these things in my /etc/fstab, it worked for my other partion 
but not for my usb harddisk.
/dev/sda1               /mnt/freecom            vfat    
user,noauto,uid=500,gid=500,umask=002,exec,dev,suid,rw     0 0
