shutdown error

When I reboot my FC2 box, I get a message during shutdown about a floppy
error.  It's during the halt of pcmcia.
 
modprobe fatal error inserting floppy  /lib/modules/ . that's all I can
grab. (the screen lock button has no effect on it).
 
After startup, I went through dmesg, and found -

vesafb: probe of vesafb0 failed with error -6
apm: BIOS not found.
