I solved the problem. I removed the first line of /etc/modprobe.conf (alias
eth0 3c589_cs)

I installed Fedora Core 2 on a Compaq Armada V300 with a Ethernet 3Com 3c589
PCMCIA card. The Fedora anaconda and Internet Configuration wizard detects
the card, but when I attempt to activate the card, I receive a message that
tells that the card does not seem to be present. Any ideas?
