I end up with the same message (see copy and paste below) but as I am a
text illiterate, I only boot in graphical mode and /*only*/ this message
comes comes up when the desktop is opening in Gnome either as root or
user, not the "KSDKBNT: Invalid arguement" etc
I have upgraded from FC1 using CDs purchased from the US as my dial up
is abysmal. For the same reason I had never updated FC1. It doesn't
appear to be a problem, just close and it goes away and everything seems
to work OK.
I have an older IBM keyboard and M$ USB optical wheel mouse which is
recognised as a generic PS2 wheel mouse and they both function OK.
Error activating XKB configuration.
Probably internal X server problem.
X server version data:
The X.Org Foundation
60700000
If you report this situation as a bug, please include:
- The result of xprop -root | grep XKB
- The result of gconftool-2 -R /desktop/gnome/peripherals/keyboard/xkb
