Yes both are installed now I was missing the devel file error is still
the same, did ldconfig -v again as well as updatedb and --rebuildbd,
this time --rebuilddb gave:

[root petes-place kino-0.7.0]# rpm --rebuilddb
error: rpmdbNextIterator: skipping h#     431 Header V3 DSA signature:
BAD, key ID 4f2a6fd2
error: rpmdbNextIterator: skipping h#     122 Header V3 DSA signature:

which has never happened before
