Thanks for the info, after looking at the
configuration file for smartd, I realized it also
pointed to my cd writer and once I plugged in the new
values in the config file, it worked. With this being
a clean installation, it will need tweaking to get it
to behave as I want. Being new to this, finding the
file and editing it was fairly simple and straight
forward So I celebrated my small victory with a cold
pepsi he he he. there are still major issues with the
installation but a journey of a thousand miles begin
with the first step. Well take care and thanks for all
