As a starting point, I have a small document to help you: the "Sendmail 
SMTP AUTH HOWTO". This document is not *quite* up-to-date for Fedora... in 
particular, you should look for a line in sendmail.mc which contains 
"conf_AUTH_OPTIONS" and change the `A p' you find there to just `A'. Other 
than that, everything should work well. You'll be left with a working 
sendmail installation which can send and receive mail over the network.

After that, just make sure that you have either the imap or dovecot 
packages installed and RUNNING. Those (one of them, not both at the same 
time!) will let you check mail from that server too, not just send mail 
through it.
