Can't write to USB device

It mounts, i can r/w normally through shell also as non root user.

When i use a normal kde app, or even java, after some time i get a error
saying:

'can't write/create file name XXXX - please check permission'.

Now, the exact phrase depends on the app of course. But the problem
looks to be always the same.

If i go to usbdisk, it claims to be a readonly filesystem and i can't do
anything - not even as root.

Unmount, mount again and everything works for some time.

It is annoying, i use a lot that disk. Tried to look at logs for some
hint, also tied to run two of those apps in debug mode, but couldn't get
any idea.

I run a standard fc1 box, regularly updated.

Any idea?

E.
