new memory = more swap?

Depending on memory you can even get away without swap. What you run
will determine how much you really need. My system has 392M Ram and 400M
of swap, and even compiling kernels (with -j4 for those who understand)
barely touches swap. Swap is mostly used for static (sleeping) programs
-- those not in active use -- and for a desktop with a large block of
memory is typically -- from my point of view -- of nominal use. I'll get
1000 emails telling me I'm wrong I'll bet.
