It is prelink.  There is an option you can use to get md5sums from prelink
that won't change, but I don't recall it off hand.  It has been discussed
in the archives (possibly when discussing TripWire).

Thanks. I had just found /bin/ps in /var/log/prelink.log and "man prelink" explains it all. I was worried for a bit there. :-)
