you can put your ical-files on a webdav-server

But this won't work if I can no longer run ical, right?
i do not know if ical support webdav-server

mozilla-calendar, sunbird, apple-ical, evolution, ... does it.
test it with a web-server:

(Or maybe we're talking about different "ical"s -- I meant
the old open source linux 'ical' program.)
