Problem installing fedora core 3 test3 on reiserfs /

Hi, 
  I was trying to install fedora core 3 test 3 but each time the
install hung just before actually starting to install packages. The
last message on the third terminal was " trying to mount none on
/proc". The command prompt became unusable. even commands like "ls"
did not return. the numlock key worked fine so i guess the system
wasn't hung there are no other significant error messages. This only
happens when using reiserfs root partition. Anyway i installed it by
using ext3 root partition but was wondering if this is a known bug.
