Do you mean whats your public ip address? if so a site like
ipchicken.com will help you.  If you need to find out whats in your
lan with ping a nmap -sP 192.168.2.1-100 would show any ping responses
from 192.168.2.1 to 192.168.2.100 (change to suit your range). Is
dhclient definately getting that ip from the router? Seems strange
that it would hand out its own ip to a client on the lan..... Also
whats the make/model of the router?
