my SATA150 TX2plus from Promse/Maxtor

Sorry about the confusion. I am running the latest full version of fedora that I got from here:  http://fedora.redhat.com/download/

How can I get fedora to see the ide drive on my card that has sata and ata? it's a maxtor brand which uses the chipset from promise tech. Fedora won't see any drives. The controller is listed. I also have simular problems in Mandrake to even with the controller listed. Any ideas?
