I don't think they'll do so automatically, but parted is your friend.
You might need resize2fs as well.

You may lose settings for your desktop background and whatever. Here
again, so many things have changed that I would just reconfigure my new
FC2 system and explore it in the process.
You do not have to "lose" anything really since all configuration files
can probably be brought over. *I* would just prefer to redo them when
moving to an operating system that's 4 whole releases newer.
