Scot are you saying that you have taken a working disk off of an Intel
motherboard and put it on an AMD motherboard and had it work?

Have done this several times. As long as the motherboards have the
equivalent processors moving the harddrive to a new system works well.
About the only problem I have had is with an FC2 system where I had to
manually modify the xorg.conf for the correct video card type. Other
systems this worked without problem.
